I need to start off by saying that I always love fan arts that take a step beyond the usual cliche's and have-been-done's. This piece is extremely powerful, full of details and many different ways to make lighting the main "wow", if that makes sense. The format with Tails holding the beacon, also becoming a part of Cosmo and her signature "seed" or gem on her chest is done cleverly and I can tell that you knew exactly what you were going for. What I'm looking at is neither concrete or vague, but it's done in a manner that's almost dreamlike, but in the midst of tension. As far as Vision goes I think you established a clear concept and you executed it in a bam, so many props on that because I like it.

Now what I really want to talk about is how you used lighting. It's used throughout and really brings the life in it. Though you could have gone further in establishing the intense light coming from the seed. Its technically above and before Tails's person, so no matter what, Tails will be affected by it. You shaded with a pen tool I believe, and used gradients to add shadow or lighting fades for a soft effect that lights do make. But I think you could have done more with a soft effect, especially in places were the light doesn't hit as intensely, or further away (like were the tail meets his back, joint areas, or his second tail far behind him.) Giving lighting contrasts of sharp to soft can give a lot more dept to a picture, and make it seem almost tree dimensional. Not to say that this doesn't pop already, but it can go beyond and seriously just become solid and bust out of the page like the rays of light.

It's hard to tell if Cosmo is actually physically there behind Tails, or is a sort of vision/foreshadowing of her coming. while she merges with the seed and becomes a part of tails, she seems like an apparition. What puzzles me is why her arms and torso seem to grow dark instead of lighten from the light source, but perhaps that was intentional, nevertheless it's still confusing and almost distracting. But conceptual art doesn't always need to follow every rule. However I think controlling lighting is one main thing that could be taken further. You have a clear idea on how much you can do with it, shown by the outer rays and the shimmer in Cosmos circular hair bun gems(God I have no clue what to call them). At first sight, you have it nailed, but all I'm saying is that there's still many things you could do to define an subjects impact by how colors bounce of it. I'd say figure out the space, were everything is; as in what's behind this, how far apart are they, how weak is this light and how would it be if it wasn't there at all? Asking yourself questions like this help out your vision and make it easier for you once you start adding details that make up an atmosphere.
