U know how much I LOVE this! Of course the whole idea of the scene must interest me.. but.. u'll find out why later. I really like the Sonic X style of coloring you used on this one. It fits the pic more. Also the emotion on Amy's face.. so beautifull, and Sonic looks so cold. U can only see a part of his body and not his head but I can still imagine what he looks like in this scene u really expressed that well in his pose. Very static and... well cold, like Amy's sobbings doesn't bother him at all.
I'm not sure if I like the blurred version more but it does give a little bit more feeling to the rain effect.
The rain looks awesome too. I know it's a brush xD But that doesn't mean that it is not totally awesome looking! It fits so good with the mood of this scene.
There is only one thing that u might want to improve next time.
U already said u had a lot of trouble drawing Amy. She looks very good to me but now I do see that her ear is too big and also her hair stand a bit out too much. Maybe it's because u used the sonic X style that I see these things. Maybe if u used a different style it wouldn't be that noticable but when I see this coloring style I immediatly have the image of Sonic X style Amy Rose in my head. so.. yeah xD
But I really love this! I shouldn't put this into scraps if I were you. But it's your pic and you decision.
